Professional Cheerleader/Grandmother
I think we might have a winner in the search for the Cheerleader who had the greatest time off between squads. A reader points me to the story of Kathy Ferrin, who was a Los Angeles Raiderette for the 1986-87 season and then 17 seasons later was an Oakland Raiderette for the 2003-04 season. On top of that Kathy became a grandmother during the 2003-04 season, so she just might be the only professional cheerleader/grandmother ever!

Check out Kathy’s story at RaiderDrive.com
And one more Raiderette note: there are a couple more familiar faces on the new 2007-08 squad.

Sara joins the Raiderettes after two seasons cheering with the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush. Her Gold Rush bio page says that she is a full-time law student.

Ashley R. was a Raiderette for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons and is back again after a year off. (Still looking for a shot of her in uniform)
